How We Find Our Way
Teammate-First Ethos
We believe in owning our roles 100%. We also believe that our most valuable resource is our teammate. And sometimes they just need a snack.
Mission Alignment
To be successful on race day, we can’t be divided or distracted. We prioritize communication, clear goal-setting, and gratitude as we navigate the next setback, or win.
Growth Mindset
There is always something to learn, and a skill to elevate. We build team trust through individual accountability and a drive to improve. We don’t know everything…yet.
Trista Smith
Navigator-
Some of Trista’s earliest and fondest memories are from behind a steering wheel. Growing up at her family’s go-kart track, Trista was exposed to the squeal of tires, the rev of an engine, and the unmistakable smell of gasoline from an early age. That love of man+machine+competition has endured to this day.
With a motor-head father, who was always turning wrenches and rebuilding vehicles of all shapes and sizes, Trista learned how to be resourceful and adventurous, and if a new problem pops up, it just takes some grit and determination to solve it.
In 2022, Trista competed in her first Rebelle Rally as the navigator for Team Baby Bronco, and found out that she really enjoyed the math, accuracy and quick-thinking that navigation requires. As it turns out, she's really good at it too, and the team was awarded Rookie of the Year! In 2025, the 10 year anniversary of the Rebelle Rally, Trista navigated the Ford Racing Ranger Raptor to an astounding 2nd place finish in the 4x4 class. Now it's time to go get that top step in 2026!

Karisa Haydon
Driver
-
Karisa was born and raised in a small town in south central Alaska. Her love of driving and the road started at an early age when her parents drove around the United States for a year, staying at state parks, and never staying more than three days in one place.
She continued to carry this sense of adventure with her and after college spent time volunteering and living in a tent in Madagascar.
Never passing up a test of endurance, Karisa was fast to agree to a 72hr blitz from Seattle to Homer, Alaska with her husband in their vintage Porsche 911.
In 2018, Karisa and her husband took their 1956 Porsche 356 on a one month 10,000 mile road trip mirroring the one taken by her parents when she was little.
After hearing about the Rebelle Rally in 2018, Karisa was determined to compete in the event one day, and by 2022, she was driving a very capable Ford Bronco Sport FE and was registered for the rally! Karisa drove Team Baby Bronco to a stage win in the sand dunes, 4th place overall, and Rookie of the Year in the X-Cross category. Three years later, now as Team Velocity supported by Ford Racing, Karisa expertly piloted the Ranger Raptor through the hardest competition to date to secure 2nd place in 4x4! It's only onward and upward from here, and that means gold!
