New Atlas: “The Rebelle Rally isn’t about speed or tech, but there’s a lot of both”
I stood in the windy desert of Nevada watching one vehicle after the next launch out of the inflatable arch and into the sand ahead. Cheers and engine blips marked each exit from the Rebelle Rally base camp. These women were heading out into the unknown with nothing more than a map and a pencil to guide them. It was pretty badass.
Video: Rev Match Media, “Rebelle Rally 2025”
Video 5:51, I have to start with saying that the women of Rebelle Rally are simply badasses! If you’re not familiar with the Rebelle Rally series, it’s an all-women rally that happens across multiple days. As if driving in the middle of nowhere in windy, wet, dry, cold, hot conditions weren’t tough enough, you can’t use any form of GPS. You have a map, rulers, and pencils to make sure if you make a mistake, you can erase!
Podcast: AVANTS, “BONUS! A Live Update from the Rebelle Rally with Team Velocity!”
Karisa Haydon and Trista Smith from Team Velocity, factory backed by Ford Racing, join us on the show for a live update from the Rebelle Rally! They'll be joining us again when the rally finishes, but we were lucky enough to have a quick call with them during the heat of the competition!
Snoqualmie Valley Record: “Valley women participate in 9-day off-road navigation event”
Two women from the Snoqualmie Valley are participating in the Rebelle Rally this month, a nine-day competition that takes them on an unpredictable journey through the desert.
Rebelle Rally is the first U.S. women’s off-road navigation rally raid, started by Emily Miller in 2016. It covers 2,500 kilometers (about 1,550 miles) of desert terrain in California and Nevada. Participants compete in teams of two — one navigator and one driver — navigating without GPS or cellphones.
Ford Authority: “Ford Racing Reveals 2025 Rebelle Rally Lineup”
The Rebelle Rally is a 2,500 km race across the harsh Nevada and California deserts with a twist: it's exclusively open for competition to women. Ford Racing is a familiar face on the off-road circuit, so, naturally, The Blue Oval fields several Rebelle entries every year, putting women behind the wheel of the Ford Bronco Raptor and Ford Ranger Raptor - and the automaker officially dropped its lineup for the 2025 running of the event.
